FFXI Ban Hammar Day 1
Well it starts for those who doesn't know I am Prite FFXI and first to all the A-holes who are going to run in here and talk about you deserve this and that. I AM NOT BANNED. Now that we have that out of the way let me explain my purpose.
On Jan 22 what we will refer to for now as (S-Day) SE deemed it necessary to ban 950 players. Now let me stop here, RMT Bannings have always been a joy to hear about but through all these banning nothing about the game changed or felt any different. But, on S-day these 950 players getting Banned has struck a chord and ripples are still being felt 6 days into this Ban. Hmm, I wonder why? I wonder how come you can Ban thousands of RMTs and fish botters and POS hackers and don't get the same outcry? Maybe because these people where cheaters without a shadow of a doubt.
Now I'm not saying everyone is innocent, most probably are guilty that's not my argument. I want to address those that did not have a clue what was going on. I want to work to address something that is long overdue Gamer rights. No company should have any absolute control of an entity that a second party has invested thousands of dollars into just so a company with inconsistant and improper protocol can up and wipe away without as much as an explanation for each case. This will be examined much more detailed in the coming future though.
I have a plan, but this cannot be done alone. I enlist the assistance of everyone who feels
S-Day was wrong, hasty, or too extreme. Now the self-righteous people who are going to run here and say TOS, you cheated, contract, you know all those uneducated individuals out there who don't understand Yes SE owns the game and has a contract that we agree too each time we log in and can DO AS THEY WISH. Now the Do As They Wish part is where the argument falls apart. Let me explain which I will do more of in the coming days.
Though some will tell you SE owns it and we just play it, it isn't so black and white. We are consumers and we have rights too and SE has TOS and we have government and states right that trump SE's TOS and when they decided to do business in these countries they first must abide within the rules of the LAW first. I have a campaign I need to follow to properly get this campaign moving this is not an overnight fix unless SE realizes innocents were wronged and show some leniency so I will be suggesting community co-operation in hopes we will get some form of justice.
